Mitch Kirsch has 32 years experience in the event industry, overseeing production of large-scale events including TV specials, immersive experiences, festivals, and global events in 30 different countries on 5 continents for high-profile brands and entertainment clients. Mitch founded Planet Events, Inc. in 1994, and has focused on high-tech interactive experiences, music-driven events, corporate functions, global sporting events, and charitable fundraisers. Mitch produced sponsor events during 13 Olympic Games, 6 Super Bowls, 3 World Cups, and 3 Rugby World Cups.
From 2010-2012, Mitch was Executive Producer of Vice & Intel’s Creators Project, an award-winning global event series fusing music, technology and art. The Creators Project partnered with Coachella in 2011 to bring large-scale art installations and performances enhancements to the festival audience of 75,000, and produced events for up to 20,000 participants in 5 countries. In 2013 Mitch produced Station to Station, a ground-breaking art & music initiative that took a custom, vintage train across the U.S.; bringing film, music, performance, art and culture to 10 station stops along the journey.
Most importantly, he has lent his experience and energy to numerous charitable organizations to raise funds and awareness for the Rainforest Foundation, Pediatric AIDS, PETA, Virgin Mobile’s RE*Generation, MTV Asia Aid benefiting tsunami victims, Covenant House, Fulfillment Fund, America: Tribute to Heroes, Concert for NYC, and others.
